This week we learned that my youngest nephew Cody, 3, has cancer. We would love your thoughts and prayers for his healing. While this brings up so many feelings for me, I'm going to focus on what I can do, which is to use my blog to help support pediatric cancer research.
Our neighbors Amy and Keith Miller host an annual fundraiser each year, which happened to be today. Amy got involved after hearing about Alex's Lemonade Stand, started hosting it a few years ago, got a radio station involved, and additional partners have followed. It's a nice opportunity to come out, have some lemonade, see the neighbors, and bid on auction items.
You can help by donating to Amy and Keith's fundraising page. Alex Scott also had neuroblastoma, like Cody, and her legacy is a nonprofit that has raised over $40 million for pediatric cancer research to date.

There are many great charities out there, but perhaps today this one will feel appropriate for your gift.
When I was meditating about Cody on Thursday night, a thought popped into my head, "They must be sick with worry." Followed immediately by, "Wow, that's not a good thought, how can I flip that into something more positive?" So I decided that instead of "sick with worry" I want to feel "flooded with hope."
May we all feel flooded with hope today.
