Alaska Botanical Garden

I was fortunate enough to visit this absolutely lovely botanical garden in September and got a tour from the Executive Director, Julianne McGuinness. The simple entry signage has a nice color scheme that stands out from all the greenery.

As they have limited staffing, they have a self-pay kiosk and self-guided tours at the entry.

Even at the end of the season, the herb garden was magical.

I would encourage you, if you're visiting Anchorage, to make a trip to this great garden. They are also expanding their garden shop and have some fun little sculptures from a local artist.
